April 5th, Waltham, MA, 2019; Global Premier Soccer are pleased to announce Greater Binghamton FC will transition to ‘GPS Binghamton’, effective as of August 1st 2019.

GBFC was founded in 2008 and has become a force at State, Regional and National level. This past season GBFC 05 girls won the New York West State Cup and participated in the USYS National League, the 4th year in a row a GBFC team has qualified to play in the National league. The last 2 years GBFC 01 girls have advanced to the USYS National finals in Frisco, Texas.

GPS was formed in 2001 and is now active in 27 US States as well as two Canadian provinces. GPS runs over 45 tournaments annually and has International academies in the UK and Spain. GPS is the Official North American partner of FC Bayern Munich. GPS Binghamton players will have access to the FC Bayern ID program which provides a direct pathway for players at the U11 and U12 age groups to go train with the FC Bayern teams and coaches at the brand new FC Bayern Campus.

As part of the transition to GPS Binghamton, Global Premier Soccer will now take the lead in the day to day operations of the club. GPS will provide superior customer service support to existing and new players and families in the Binghamton area. They will also see an increase in club marketing via a new website and increased support on the clubs social media platforms.

GPS Binghamton players and teams will continue to participate in USYS and US Club soccer events. They will also have additional playing opportunities available through the GPS NY Pre-ID program, FC Bayern ID program, GPS NY Regional team program, GPS National team program and access to international opportunities through Legacy Global Sports tours.

With the transition there will be an increase in full time professional coaches working directly with GPS Binghamton players and teams, as well as providing further coach education to current and new coaching staff. GPS will also increase the number and quality of GPS Binghamton players.

High school aged players will also have access to and support through the GPS College placement program.

“I am excited about the transition and opportunity this adds to our youth soccer program,” said GPS Binghamton Regional Director, Bahij Kashou. “This Partnership allows our young soccer players to play at the highest local, regional, national and international level. We have already seen local kids take advantage of this early transition, several are playing on GPS New York Regional teams and GPS National teams.”
