Trinity College builds on its four-hundred-year-old tradition of scholarship to confirm its position as one of the great universities of the world, providing a liberal environment where independence of thought is highly valued and where staff and students are nurtured as individuals and are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The College is committed to excellence in both research and teaching, to the enhancement of the leaning experience of each of its students and to an inclusive College community with equality of access for all. The College will continue to disseminate its knowledge and expertise to the benefit of the City of Dublin, the country and the international community.
The club is based in Trinity College, in the heart of Dublin city centre, and its players are drawn exclusively from students of the university. With over 300 students playing regularly in representative teams and the Megaleague, DUAFC has one of the largest active memberships of any of Trinity’s sports clubs.
The senior squad plays regular matches in Leinster Senior League and the Colleges and Universities Football League, and competes in the Collingwood Cup intervarsity competition and the annual Colours match against UCD. Six of the current squad - Chris Allen, David Hayes, Colin Hyland, Niall O’Carroll, Evin O’Reilly and Daniel Trimble - have represented the Irish Universities side. Last season, central midfielder Christopher Allen was the only amateur player selected for Ireland’s first ever international futsal team, winning several full international caps.
